All borrowers
must have a valid Lincoln County Public Library card to circulate items.
You must provide your library card each time you circulate materials. Replacement
cost of your card is $2.00.
All residents
of Lincoln County aged 2 years & up are eligible to receive a library
card. Customers are responsible for all materials checked out on their
card. Patrons are allowed only one (1) card from the library. Applicants
under the age of thirteen (13) must have a parent or guardian sign their
consent on the application card prior to a card being issued. Children
may not use any adult’s card. New Applicants will be allowed to circulate
2 items, and their cards will be mailed to them.
Non-residents
from other Kentucky counties may obtain a card from LCPL by showing their
library card from their home library. Their home library will be called
as a reference. If an applicant works in Lincoln County, but lives in another
county, they may provide identification and employment information to receive
a card. Cardholders may not use visitor passes. Only persons not
eligible for a LCPL library card may use them.
Until
a library card has been reported lost or stolen to the circulation desk,
the borrower will be held financially responsible for the materials borrowed
and the charges incurred on the card. Please remember, if you borrow materials
on your card for someone other than yourself, you are still held responsible
for those items. If you allow someone to borrow your card, you will still
be held responsible for those items.
Patrons
who incur $5.00 or more in charges become ineligible to borrow materials
until the fine is paid. Patrons may use the computer by paying $1.00 on
their fine. Patrons owing less than $5.00 may circulate items by paying

staff will page books for customers with disabilities during all hours
of operation. Such requests may be made in person, by mail, or by telephone.
Remember:
You benefit
from following the rules and returning borrowed items on time. When we
must replace damaged or lost materials, the book budget suffers a deficit.
That means fewer new materials can be purchased. When items are returned,
materials reach the next customer on time.
